SigmaNEST – SigmaTEK Systems
SigmaTEK Systems, LLC provides CAD/CAM nesting software and services to enhance the efficiency and profitability of flat material and tube cutting under the SigmaNEST brand. SigmaNEST is a leading solution suite for NC programming and automatic nesting to ensure accurate part cutting, optimal material usage, and efficient cutting time. SigmaNEST software is compatible with most domestic and international machine equipment for plasma, laser, punch, oxyfuel, waterjet and router cutting. Founded in1992, SigmaTEK is headquartered in Cincinnati, OH and maintains an extensive support network worldwide, with branches throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Solutions
SigmaNEST was developed and introduced to the market by a group of manufacturing and engineering CAD/CAM experts with many years experience in the field of optimization and automation. SigmaNEST functionality is designed to provide a high level of material utilization, optimize machine functionality, and increase efficiency in manpower and programming time. SigmaNEST solutions can be efficiently used from a single computer or a large, networked system utilizing an MRP.
Synergy
NX is a powerful 3-dimensional CAD/CAM system for mechanical engineering applications. The system is highly customizable and allows integration functions to be streamlined and automated. The level of integration achieved between NX and SigmaNEST offers a solution that provides the best of both worlds: state-of-the-art parametric solid modeling for mechanical design and optimal nesting and machine motion optimization for most the most cost-effective part production. A 3-dimensional solid model of a part is created in UG as part of the engineering design process. All parts that need to be cut on a flat material profile cutter such as a laser, plasma, oxyfuel, waterjet or router are identified by a single mouse click. SigmaNEST automatically reads the geometric information and production data from UG files, and creates the 2-dimensional part in SigmaNEST. Parts are then nested and the NC code is generated for the cutting machine.
