Capabilities

Digitally integrate wire harness design

A structured workflow

Quickly define a 3D path between parts and define wire, cable, and bundle properties. Route wiring along irregular continuous geometric bodies. Use intuitive wizards to assign electrical components and connectors to preconfigured Solid Edge parts. Once a design is complete, export ready-to-use netlist files to the schematics so that the wires can be annotated with  lengths and used for electrical analysis.

Live feedback of design violations

Built-in design error checkers provide live feedback, warning of design violations, which are relayed by graphical symbols next to the wire. A tool tip offers advice on how to fix issues.

Complete digital mock-ups

Move straight from design to manufacturing with realistic wire representation for complete digital mock-ups of your design, eliminating the need for expensive physical prototypes.

Bridge Siemens environments

A unique connected mode links ECAD and MCAD environments, providing dynamic updating of harness design aspects. When a change is made in one domain, it is highlighted in the other through cross-probing. Connected mode may only be used with Siemens software for Solid Edge Wiring and Harness Design, Capital Logic and Harness XC.

Collaborate with other industry tools

Collaborate with industry-standard ECAD tools using standard exchange file formats for component and connection data by transferring data in a disconnected mode, providing companies without a dedicated ECAD system to still enjoy the benefits of this tool.
