Solid Edge users who have built up a high level of skills and experience with Solid Edge can take the Solid Edge Mechanical Professional and Expert Level certification exams. Once passed this user’s credentials are added to a database of elite users. The SEM-Expert Level exam has a prerequisite passing the SEM-Professional Level certification exam first. This significant qualification offers recognition for both the individual and their employer for their capabilities designing best-in-class products with Solid Edge.

Siemens offers excellent resources for students and educators including the free student and high school editions of Solid Edge software and proven learning programs for students from middle school through to university Additionally, certification is available through online examinations for students, in two levels Solid Edge Mechanical Associate (for High School students) or Solid Edge Mechanical Professional (for University students and early career professionals). All exams are available online globally, in English, and the Solid Edge Mechanical Associate level is offered free of charge. A student with a passing score has the option to be added to a referral database and will be given a printable certificate to proudly display.
