Resolving electrical system changes

In modern products, electrical system design is crucial. Mechanical and electrical components must work together as a unified whole. But how can you ensure that your systems work together well if your design teams are not connected? When design issues are identified, how can your teams work together collaboratively to resolve them?

Electrical system design at the center of modern product development

Engineers use electrical system design to create powerful electrical systems. It is also at the center of design of electrical components, which can be connected to carry out specific functions.Electronics enable products to perceive their environment and operation. They enable products to react intelligently with circuit boards, processors and embedded software. They enable products to affect the physical world with motors and actuated components. They grant products the ability to communicate with the Internet of Things (IoT). All of those electronics are connected by electrical systems, the nervous systems of the modern product. These are all advantages of good electrical system design. However, when electrical systems are poorly designed and badly executed, they can be unreliable, hazardous to human life and property, and a never-ending source of problems. Supply too little power, and your most complex electronics stop working properly. Supply too much and a fuse will be blown, or electronics will be damaged. Too little network bandwidth and data packets will be dropped, undermining control systems or efforts to leverage IoT analytics. Modern products simply don’t work without good electrical design.
